Lefkada is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea, connected to the mainland by a floating bridge, and is famous for its dramatic white-sand beaches like Porto Katsiki and Egremni, plus top-notch windsurfing at Vasiliki Bay. Summers are hot and dry (averaging 90°F / 32°C), perfect for swimming in the turquoise waters or taking a boat tour to the famous sea caves, while winters are mild (around 55°F / 13°C) and great for hiking the mountain trails without the crowds. If you visit in spring or fall, you'll find pleasant weather in the 70s°F (20s°C) and more space to explore the traditional villages like Karya and drive the coastal road to Cape Lefkada.
